Did all those flavors just hit you like a ton of bricks? Let’s bring back some redhead math:
Peanut butter = delicious
Banana = yummy
Chocolate chips = yummy deliciousness
Therefore, peanut butter banana chocolate chip bread = delicious yummy yummy deliciousness
Did you see what I did there? I’m like Russell Crowe in A Beautiful Mind or Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting. No wait, wrong gender…. Ok, I’m like Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich. Wow, still not quite right… Can we get back to the bread?
If peanut butter and banana go well together, and banana and chocolate go well together and chocolate and peanut butter go well together then you have a venn diagram with peanut butter banana chocolate chip bread smack in the middle (see, I told you my math skills are shaky, but my logic skills are hot).
Peanut butter is the dominant flavor in this bread. The banana is just a hint and you don’t want to go crazy on the chocolate chips or your bread will either a)sink or b)stick to the pan. It is a very moist bread, almost mushy, but not in a bad way. Like the perfect romantic comedy! How moist it is depends on how large the bananas are that you use.
Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
By Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup salted butter, room temperature
½ cup sugar
¼ cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup ripe banana, mashed (about 3 bananas)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and flour a standard loaf pan and set aside.
In a small bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
In a separate large mixing bowl beat butter and sugars until combined. Mix in peanut butter and banana. Mix in egg and vanilla, scraping down sides of bowl. Add flour mixture and beat on low until combined. Pour in milk and beat on low until batter is smooth. Mix in chocolate chips.
Add batter to loaf pan and evenly spread out. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the center springs back when pressed with a fingertip. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely.
Haha, I like your logic! I could so go for a big slab of this right now slathered in butter. Looks like the perfect amount of chocolate chips too!
Whoa really, you would put butter on it too? That sounds intense.
Definitely! Toasted with melty butter. Mmm.
Whoa. World just turned upside down.
