Mini Peanut Butter and Chocolate Swirl Cookies | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Hello there summer. You snuck up on me.

Summer is the time for barbecues and picnics, and because you read this blog, you’re most likely one of those people that get asked to bring things to these barbecues and picnics. Things like pasta salad, vegetable trays or chips, but then you say ‘sorry host, I’m bringing cookies instead.’ It’s the weirdest thing, no one ever gets mad. Continue reading

P’Nutty Slutty Brownies

P'Nutty Slutty Brownies | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Oh slutty brownies, you triple-threat temptress. Tempting everyone to eat you, but also tempting me to find new combos for you. Maybe it was those damn peanut butter cup s’more bars that got me craving the peanut butter and chocolate combo, maybe I was reminiscing about elementary school lunches, but one thing lead to another and I might have put another Little Debbie classic betwixt cookie and brownie. I have no shame. Continue reading

Peanut Butter Cup S’More Bars

Peanut Butter Cup S'More Bars | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I had a grand plan to make today’s post a birthday cake theme. I had pinned and gone through dozens of birthday cake flavored treats and thought I found the perfect one, but alas, be it the recipe or me, it was a birthday cake fail. But you know what? That’s ok, because it means I get to share these Peanut Butter Cup S’more bars with you instead, which I would gladly accept in lieu of cake… but only if cake really wasn’t an option, especially Publix marble cake with buttercream frosting. Or ice cream. Or both. Continue reading

Biscoff Banana Bread

Biscoff Banana Bread | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Remember that free jar of Biscoff spread I got at the Hot Chocolate 15K Expo? Yep, that’s still coming in handy. Since I loved this peanut butter chocolate chip bread I made in the fall, I wondered… could I replace the peanut butter with Biscoff spread and take out the chocolate chips with the same delicious results? Psssst… rhetorical question.

The flavor in this bread sneaks up on you. The first bite says ‘this is ok, but I think I like my other banana bread recipe better,” then a couple bites later, your mouth says ‘I think I can taste the Biscoff now’ and then your nose is thinking ‘oh yeah, that’s the Biscoff!’ and the next thing you know, you’ve finished the slice and sort of want to finish the loaf. Continue reading

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Heart Cookies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Heart Cookies
I did a bad, bad thing. I didn’t write a single blog post last week. It is an egregious error in the blog word. I’m sorry. Can you ever forgive me? What if I made you Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Heart Cookies for Valentine’s Day?

I am totally disappointed in myself. I had a week’s worth of Valentine’s Day recipes for you guys and then… I arrived at the race track. Sebring International Raceway to be specific; site of the 12 Hours of Sebring. If you don’t know it, look it up. I’ll be back there again in March for the race, so it appears I should plan ahead blog-wise so I don’t go dark again.

Here’s the part where I make it up to you: I share a Domestic Rebel recipe perfect for Valentine’s Day. It’s a peanut butter cookie, with chocolate chips and Reese’s Peanut Butter Hearts. Continue reading

Layered Peanut Butter Bars

28 Jan

Layered Peanut Butter Bars | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Peanut butter and chocolate; do food combinations get much better than that? It does if you can make it into layered bar cookies in a couple minutes! I said it before with the cake mix cookies and I’ll say it again with these Layered Peanut Butter Bars: sometimes pre-made mix is a good thing. In this case, if you don’t have the time to make peanut butter cookie dough, you just buy the Betty Crocker PB cookie mix.

Don’t feel too guilty about this; you’ll be making the peanut butter cream layer and chocolate ganache all by yourself. Continue reading

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bread | Adventures of a Hungry Redhead
Did all those flavors just hit you like a ton of bricks? Let’s bring back some redhead math:

Peanut butter = delicious
Banana = yummy
Chocolate chips = yummy deliciousness

Therefore, peanut butter banana chocolate chip bread = delicious yummy yummy deliciousness

Did you see what I did there? I’m like Russell Crowe in A Beautiful Mind or Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting. No wait, wrong gender…. Ok, I’m like Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich. Wow, still not quite right… Can we get back to the bread? Continue reading
